STIMULATE

We are developing the medical technology of tomorrow.


In interdisciplinary teams from the clinic, industry and science, we research and develop solutions and technologies for innovative therapy and diagnostic procedures for image-guided minimally invasive medicine.

Our aim is to develop new, patient-friendly, high-quality and specifically required diagnostic and therapeutic procedures for social diseases in oncology, neurology and cardiology. To this end, doctors from the healthcare sector define the need and interdisciplinary teams research and develop customised solutions that are tested and integrated into patient treatment.

Our vision is to improve the healthcare of today and tomorrow as a research and innovation centre for image-based medicine.

The public-private partnership is formed by Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg, Siemens Healthineers AG and the STIMULATE Association with over 40 members from the medical technology industry and science.

New quantum-counting CT opens up new possibilities for cancer treatment at the Research Campus STIMULATE

An exciting new research project is being planned at the Research Campus STIMULATE in Magdeburg: With a state-of-the-art quantum counting computer tomograph (photon counting CT), which was recently put into operation at Magdeburg University Hospital, the team led by Prof Dr Maciej Pech and PD Dr Oliver Großer aims to further improve image-guided cancer treatment.

Together with the transfer space project transPORT/transSCAPE, the media workshop of Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg invites you to the open-air exhibition "Transfer"! In the Visual Theory seminar, students have created photographic works that deal with the topic of ‘Transfer’. The Research Campus STIMULATE will be opening its laboratory doors to all interested parties from 6pm to midnight during the LNDW. Where Coding meets Healthcare

Python programming course for (medical) students. Since May 2024, learn free of charge and independent of time in order to later be able to implement applications for processing large amounts of data in medicine.
