STIMULATE

We are developing the medical technology of tomorrow.


In interdisciplinary teams from clinic, industry and science, we research and develop solutions and technologies for image-guided minimally invasive medicine.
Our aim are innovative, patient-friendly, high-quality and specifically required diagnostic and therapeutic procedures for diseases in oncology, neurology and cardiology. To this end, clinicians define the need and interdisciplinary teams research and develop customised solutions that are tested and integrated into patient treatment.
Our vision is to improve healthcare of today and tomorrow as a research and innovation centre for image-based medicine.

The public-private partnership is formed by Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg, Siemens Healthineers AG and the STIMULATE Association with over 40 members from the medical technology industry and science.

Internationalisation

International exchange on AI in medicine: STIMULATE at DWIH New York

In May 2025, following the ISMRT annual conference in Honolulu, the Research Campus STIMULATE took part in an international exchange at the German House for Science and Innovation (DWIH) in New York City. The evening event organised by the DWIH management on 19 May focused on current developments and perspectives in the field of artificial intelligence in medicine.

Where Coding meets Healthcare

Python programming course for (medical) students. Since May 2024, learn free of charge and independent of time in order to later be able to implement applications for processing large amounts of data in medicine. 19.-24.06. - School project days at the Research Campus

School groups from the 11th grade upwards are given an overview of the degree programme and an insight into the laboratories and research topics at the Research Campus STIMULATE by the coordinator of the Bachelor's degree programme in Medical Engineering.

Students from the 5th semester of the Bachelor's degree programme in Medical Technology will present the medical technology solutions they have developed in group work. The event will take place in room G82-120/144 on Friday, 11 July from 9:00-13:00.
