About us
In interdisciplinary teams from clinic, industry and science, we develop patient-friendly solutions for image-guided minimally invasive medicine. Clinicians define the needs, while interdisciplinary teams develop, test and integrate customised diagnostic and therapeutic technologies for oncology, neurology and cardiology. We improve healthcare of today and tomorrow as a research and innovation centre for image-based medicine.
Our public-private partnership is formed by Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg, Siemens Healthineers AG and the STIMULATE Association with over 40 members from the medical technology industry and science.
We were delighted to welcome 42 young researchers from the Jugendforscht alumni community to STIMULATE. During our hands-on MRI workshop, they explored the basics of magnetic resonance imaging, conducted their own measurements with a tabletop MRI scanner and gained insights into clinical MRI technology and MRI production.

The ‘Gender Data Gap in Medicine and Research’ summer school, taking place from 28 September to 2 October 2026 at the Research Campus STIMULATE in Magdeburg, equips researchers with methodological skills for gender-sensitive vascular research, focusing on data gaps, AI-supported bias analysis and personalised therapeutic approaches.
