PD Dr Roland Schwab receives the Interventional Award from the German Society of Neuroradiology

The Research Campus STIMULATE warmly congratulates PD Dr Roland Schwab on being awarded the Interventional Prize by the German Society of Neuroradiology (DGNR). The prize recognises innovative and outstanding work in the field of interventional neuroradiology.

Roland Schwab combines clinical experience with scientific research and technological development. At the Research Campus STIMULATE, his work includes innovative techniques in interventional neuroradiology, modern neurovascular imaging and new training and simulation methods. Together with Prof Dr Daniel Behme, he is also involved in the scientific management of practice-oriented, hands-on simulator courses, in which neuroradiological procedures are practised under realistic conditions.

The award highlights the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration at the Research Campus STIMULATE, which operates at the interface between neuroradiology, medical imaging, simulation and interventional medical technology. STIMULATE is delighted to have Roland Schwab, a renowned scientist, on its team; he will continue his research projects at the Städtisches Klinikum Karlsruhe in future and initiate new studies there – with the aim of further developing neurointerventional procedures and making patient care even safer and more effective.
