Successful doctoral defence by Robert Kowal
On Monday, 20 July 2026, the doctoral defence of M.Sc. Robert Kowal, in pursuit of the academic degree of Doctor of Engineering (Dr.-Ing.), took place at the Research Campus STIMULATE. As part of the doctoral proceedings, he presented his thesis entitled ‘Metasurface Resonators for Magnetic Resonance Imaging’.
The reviewers were Prof Dr. rer. nat. habil. Oliver Speck from the Institute of Physics at the Faculty of Natural Sciences (FNW), Prof Dr.-Ing. habil. Holger Maune from Darmstadt Technical University, and Prof Dr.-Ing. Andreas Bitz from FH Aachen University.

Erfolgreiches Promotionskolloquium von Robert Kowal
Am Montag, dem 20. Juli 2026, fand am Forschungscampus STIMULATE das Promotionskolloquium von M.Sc. Robert Kowal zur Erlangung des akademischen Grades Doktoringenieur (Dr.-Ing.) statt. Im Rahmen des Promotionsverfahrens präsentierte er seine Dissertation mit dem Titel „Metasurface Resonatoren für die Magnetresonanztomographie“.
Als Gutachtende wirkten Prof. Dr. rer. nat. habil. Oliver Speck vom Institut für Physik der Fakultät für Naturwissenschaften (FNW), Prof. Dr.-Ing. habil. Holger Maune von der Technischen Universität Darmstadt sowie Prof. Dr.-Ing. Andreas Bitz von der FH Aachen mit.
