Medical Technology at the 2026 Study Information Day
At the University Open Day on 9 May 2026, we welcomed around 100 school pupils to our stand and gave them a fascinating insight into the world of medical technology and research. The stand was set up alongside those of other degree programmes on the OVGU’s Mensavorplatz and offered plenty of opportunities to discuss studies, research and career paths.
Our mini endoscopy demonstration in the exhibition ambulance proved particularly popular, during which we ‘endoscoped’ a melon together. We also explained how our educational CT system works and demonstrated how modern imaging is used in medicine and research. This gave visitors a hands-on insight into how innovative technologies work in diagnostics and treatment.
Another highlight was the guided tours of the Research Campus STIMULATE building, which were led by a medical technology student for the school pupils. During the tours, the participants gained a first-hand insight into the world of research and work at the STIMULATE Campus. Among the facilities presented were the MRI laboratory, the CT laboratory, the VR laboratory, the robotics laboratory, the usability laboratory, the angiography suite and the FLEXtronic Maker Lab.
Many visitors found it particularly exciting to learn that students at the Research Campus can actively participate in current research projects from their very first semesters – often in close collaboration with companies and industry partners. This enables them to gain practical experience at an early stage and gain direct insights into innovative developments in medical technology.
We would like to thank all the pupils, teachers and members of the public for visiting us, for asking so many questions, and for showing such keen interest in our research and study programmes. We were delighted to welcome so many motivated young people at the Research Campus STIMULATE!
Medizintechnik zum Studieninfotag 2026
Beim Studieninfotag am 09.05.26 durften wir rund 100 Schülerinnen und Schüler an unserem Stand begrüßen und spannende Einblicke in die Welt der Medizintechnik und Forschung geben. Der Stand wurde gemeinsam mit weiteren Studiengängen auf dem Mensavorplatz der OVGU präsentiert und bot viele Möglichkeiten zum Austausch rund um Studium, Forschung und Karrierewege.
Besonders beliebt war unsere kleine Endoskopie-Demonstration am Show-Rettungswagen, bei der wir gemeinsam eine Melone „endoskopiert“ haben. Darüber hinaus erklärten wir unser Lehr-CT-System und zeigten, wie moderne Bildgebung in Medizin und Forschung eingesetzt wird. So konnten die Besucherinnen und Besucher praxisnah erleben, wie innovative Technologien in der Diagnostik und Therapie funktionieren.
Ein weiteres Highlight waren die Führungen durch das Gebäude des Forschungscampus STIMULATE, die ein Medizintechnik-Student für die Schülerinnen und Schüler angeboten hat. Dabei erhielten die Teilnehmenden einen direkten Einblick in die Forschungs- und Arbeitswelt am STIMULATE-Campus. Vorgestellt wurden unter anderem das MRT-Labor, das CT-Labor, das VR-Labor, das Robotik-Labor, das Usability-Labor, die Angiographie sowie das FLEXtronic Maker Lab.
Besonders spannend für viele Besucherinnen und Besucher war die Information, dass Studierende am Forschungscampus bereits in frühen Semestern aktiv an aktuellen Forschungsprojekten mitarbeiten können – häufig auch in enger Kooperation mit Unternehmen und Industriepartnern. Dadurch entstehen frühzeitig praktische Erfahrungen und direkte Einblicke in innovative Entwicklungen der Medizintechnik.
Wir bedanken uns bei allen Schülerinnen, Schülern, Lehrkräften und Interessierten für den Besuch, die vielen Fragen und das große Interesse an unseren Forschungs- und Studienangeboten. Es hat uns sehr gefreut, so viele motivierte junge Menschen am Forschungscampus STIMULATE begrüßen zu dürfen!
