Successful doctoral colloquium for Jana Korte
The public doctoral colloquium of Jana Korte took place on 20th June 2025. The dissertation title was “Numerical Assessment of Cardio- and Neurovascular Pathologies: Modeling Variability, Flow Transition and Treatment Planning”. Supervised by PD Dr.-Ing. habil. Philipp Berg, the scientific work was carried out in the working group Medical Flows which is based at the Research Campus STIMULATE and the department of fluid dynamics and technical flows of Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg.
The reviewers of the thesis were Prof Dr Gábor Janiga (Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg).), Prof Dr Daniel Behme (University Hospital Magdeburg) and Prof Dr Melissa Brindise (Pennsylvania State University, USA).
Parts of Jana Korte's research were carried out in collaboration with the Pennsylvania State University, USA, the university hospital Kiel, the Charité Universitätsmedizin Berlin, and the RWTH Aachen.

Erfolgreiches Promotionskolloquium für Jana Korte
Am 20. Juni 2025 fand das öffentliche Doktorandenkolloquium von Jana Korte statt. Der Titel der Dissertation lautete "Numerische Bewertung von kardio- und neurovaskulären Pathologien: Modellierung von Variabilität, Flussübergang und Behandlungsplanung". Betreut von PD Dr.-Ing. habil. Philipp Berg, wurde die wissenschaftliche Arbeit in der Arbeitsgruppe Medical FLows durchgeführt, die am Forschungscampus STIMULATE und am Lehrstuhl für Strömungsmechanik und Technische Strömungen der Otto-von-Guericke-Universität Magdeburg angesiedelt ist.
Die Gutachtenden der Arbeit waren Prof. Dr. Gábor Janiga (Otto-von-Guericke-Universität Magdeburg), Prof. Dr. Daniel Behme (Universitätsklinikum Magdeburg) und Prof. Dr. Melissa Brindise (Pennsylvania State University, USA).
Teile von Jana Kortes Forschung wurden in Zusammenarbeit mit der Pennsylvania State University, USA, dem Universitätsklinikum Kiel, der Charité Universitätsmedizin Berlin und der RWTH Aachen durchgeführt.
