Summer meeting of former State Secretary colleagues at the invitation of the Minister of Finance in Magdeburg
On 4 July 2025, the Research Campus STIMULATE welcomed the Finance Minister of the state of Saxony-Anhalt, Michael Richter, to Magdeburg. As part of a compact programme of visits, the Minister was able to gain a comprehensive impression of the diverse research and innovation activities at the site.
Following a welcome address by Prof. Dr Georg Rose, spokesperson for the Research Campus STIMULATE, and an introductory presentation on the Campus's unique concept as a location for research, development and spin-offs, a lively discussion ensued. Topics included the importance of long-term investment, the role of public funding and the opportunities offered nationally and internationally by Saxony-Anhalt as a centre for medical technology.

In the MRI laboratory, Prof. Dr Speck explained current research priorities in the field of image-guided therapy procedures. In the angio laboratory, PD Dr Berg and Mr Punzet presented the latest developments in interventional neuroradiology and the laboratory's contribution to training and further education.
Special interest was also shown in the spin-offs: RAYDIAX, represented by Managing Director Dr Hoffmann, presented the innovative interventional CT system, which is designed to make minimally invasive procedures even more precise and safer. Neoscan Solutions, represented by Managing Director Dr Röll, showed the development of specialised MRI systems for the imaging of newborns and infants as well as for high-field imaging with 14 Tesla field strength.
The final discussion rounded off the visit - with important impulses on financing perspectives, the importance of research-based start-ups and the strategic further development of the location. We would like to thank Minister Schulze for his visit and his interest in the work of the Research Campus STIMULATE - and are delighted with the recognition and support for medical technology ‘Made in Saxony-Anhalt’
Sommertreffen ehemaliger Staatssekretärskollegen auf Einladung des Finanzministers in Magdeburg
Am 4. Juli 2025 begrüßte der Forschungscampus STIMULATE den Finanzminister des Landes Sachsen-Anhalt, Michael Richter, in Magdeburg. Im Rahmen eines kompakten Besuchsprogramms konnte sich der Minister ein umfassendes Bild von den vielfältigen Forschungs- und Innovationsaktivitäten am Standort machen.
Nach einer Begrüßung durch Prof. Dr. Georg Rose, Sprecher des Forschungscampus STIMULATE, und einer einführenden Präsentation über das einzigartige Konzept des Campus als Ort der Forschung, Entwicklung und Ausgründung, schloss sich eine angeregte Diskussion an. Themen waren unter anderem die Bedeutung langfristiger Investitionen, die Rolle öffentlicher Förderung und die Chancen, die der Medizintechnikstandort Sachsen-Anhalt national wie international bietet.
Im Rahmen eines Rundgangs wurden mehrere Labore und Startups vorgestellt:
Im MRT-Labor erläuterte Prof. Dr. Speck aktuelle Forschungsschwerpunkte im Bereich bildgestützter Therapieverfahren. Im Angio-Labor präsentierten PD Dr. Berg und Herr Punzet neueste Entwicklungen in der interventionellen Neuroradiologie und den Beitrag des Labors zur Aus- und Weiterbildung.
Besonderes Interesse galt auch den Ausgründungen: RAYDIAX, vertreten durch Geschäftsführer Dr. Hoffmann, stellte das innovative interventionelle CT-System vor, das minimal-invasive Eingriffe noch präziser und sicherer machen soll. Neoscan Solutions, vorgestellt von Geschäftsführer Dr. Röll, zeigte die Entwicklung spezialisierter MRT-Systeme für die Bildgebung von Neugeborenen und Kleinkindern sowie für die Hochfeldbildgebung mit 14 Tesla Feldstärke.
Die abschließende Diskussion rundete den Besuch ab – mit wichtigen Impulsen zu Finanzierungsperspektiven, dem Stellenwert forschungsbasierter Start-ups und der strategischen Weiterentwicklung des Standorts.
