Transatlantic Imaging Research Project launched with University of Minnesota
On November 1, 2025, the joint research project between the Research Campus STIMULATE and the Center for Magnetic Resonance Research (CMRR) at the University of Minnesota officially began.
The aim of the project is to establish a transatlantic network for medical imaging in inhomogeneous magnetic fields, such as in mobile or portable MRI systems. Over the next two years, the focus will be on workshops, research stays, joint strategy workshops, and the development of a technology-related roadmap.
The project is funded by the German Federal Ministry of Research, Technology, and Space (BMFTR) as part of the "BMFTR INITIATES: Research with North America" program. The focus is on the systematic expansion of the partnership with the CMRR and intensive exchange to prepare joint research projects.
Transatlantisches Bildgebungs-Projekt mit der Universität Minnesota gestartet
Zum 1. November 2025 ist das gemeinsame Forschungsprojekt zwischen dem Forschungscampus STIMULATE und dem Center for Magnetic Resonance Research (CMRR) an der University of Minnesota offiziell gestartet.
Ziel des Vorhabens ist der Aufbau eines transatlantischen Netzwerks zur medizinischen Bildgebung in inhomogenen Magnetfeldern – etwa bei mobilen oder portablen MRT-Systemen. In den kommenden zwei Jahren stehen Workshops, Forschungsaufenthalte, gemeinsame Strategieworkshops und die Entwicklung einer technologiebezogenen Roadmap im Fokus.
Das Projekt wird vom Bundesministerium für Forschung, Technologie und Raumfahrt (BMFTR) im Rahmen der „BMFTR INITIATES: Research with North America“ gefördert. Im Mittelpunkt stehen der systematische Ausbau der Partnerschaft mit dem CMRR und ein intensiver Austausch zur Vorbereitung gemeinsamer Forschungsvorhaben.
