Successful doctoral colloquium by Tonia Mielke
On Monday, 15 December, Tonia Mielke successfully defended her doctoral thesis entitled ‘From Registration to Evaluation: Towards Efficient Human–Robot Interaction’. The work was carried out at the Research Campus STIMULATE and examines intuitive methods for controlling robotic arms using hand gestures and the support of these interactions through mixed reality.
The doctoral colloquium and dissertation were reviewed by Prof Dr Christian Hansen (Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg), Prof Dr Marta Kersten-Oertel (Concordia University, Montreal, Canada) and Prof Dr Stefanie Speidel (German Cancer Research Centre).

Erfolgreiches Promotionskolloquium von Tonia Mielke
Am Montag, dem 15. Dezember, verteidigte Tonia Mielke erfolgreich ihre Doktorarbeit mit dem Titel „From Registration to Evaluation: Towards Efficient Human–Robot Interaction“. Die Arbeit wurde am Forschungscampus STIMULATE durchgeführt und untersucht intuitive Methoden zur Steuerung von Roboterarmen mittels Handgesten sowie die Unterstützung dieser Interaktionen durch Mixed-Reality.
Das Promotionskolloquium und die Dissertation wurden von Prof. Dr. Christian Hansen (Otto-von-Guericke-Universität Magdeburg), Prof. Dr. Marta Kersten-Oertel (Concordia University, Montreal, Kanada) und Prof. Dr. Stefanie Speidel (Deutsches Krebsforschungszentrum) begutachtet.
