Startup Designer – MakerLab for Innovation and Start-ups
The Startup Designer MakerLab at the STIMULATE Research Campus offers a flexibly designed space for the early development and testing of start-up ideas and innovations. Flexible workspaces, prototyping materials and digital tools create the ideal conditions for creative, collaborative and interdisciplinary work.
The focus is on user-centred development using Design Thinking. Students, researchers and those interested in starting a business can analyse problems, develop ideas, gather user feedback, and create and test initial prototypes here. They are supported in this by coaches and external experts.
There is a particular focus on medical technology and on sustainable and circular product development. By directly involving potential users, solutions can be assessed at an early stage to ensure they meet their actual needs and are practical to use.
The MakerLab thus provides an open development space, from the initial idea through to the validated concept, and acts as a bridge between research, design, the user’s perspective and entrepreneurship.
Das Startup Designer MakerLab am Forschungscampus STIMULATE bietet einen flexibel gestalteten Raum für die frühe Entwicklung und Erprobung von Gründungsideen und Innovationen. Flexible Arbeitsbereiche, Prototyping-Materialien und digitale Werkzeuge schaffen optimale Bedingungen für kreatives, kollaboratives und interdisziplinäres Arbeiten.
Im Mittelpunkt steht die nutzerzentrierte Entwicklung mit Design Thinking. Studierende, Forschende und Gründungsinteressierte können hier Problemstellungen analysieren, Ideen entwickeln, Nutzerfeedback einholen und erste Prototypen erstellen und testen. Unterstützt werden sie dabei durch Coaches und externe Expertinnen und Experten.
Ein besonderer Fokus liegt auf Medizintechnik sowie nachhaltiger und kreislauforientierter Produktentwicklung. Durch die direkte Einbindung potenzieller Nutzerinnen und Nutzer können Lösungen frühzeitig auf ihren tatsächlichen Bedarf und ihre praktische Anwendbarkeit überprüft werden.
Das MakerLab bietet damit einen offenen Entwicklungsraum von der ersten Idee bis zum validierten Konzept und schafft eine Schnittstelle zwischen Forschung, Design, Nutzerperspektive und Unternehmertum.
