We are developing the medical technology of tomorrow.


In interdisciplinary teams from clinic, industry and science, we research and develop solutions and technologies for image-guided minimally invasive medicine.
Our aim are innovative, patient-friendly, high-quality and specifically required diagnostic and therapeutic procedures for diseases in oncology, neurology and cardiology. To this end, clinicians define the need and interdisciplinary teams research and develop customised solutions that are tested and integrated into patient treatment.
Our vision is to improve healthcare of today and tomorrow as a research and innovation centre for image-based medicine.

The public-private partnership is formed by Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg, Siemens Healthineers AG and the STIMULATE Association with over 40 members from the medical technology industry and science.

Shaping the future together: Second transPORT Harbour Conference brings new perspectives to the Science Harbour

A harbour thrives on activity. On 3 September 2026, ideas, knowledge and new partnerships set the direction at Magdeburg’s Science Harbour. The second transPORT Harbour Conference, held at the Fraunhofer IFF’s Elbfabrik, focused on the question of how different perspectives can be brought together to further develop the Science Harbour as a sustainable hub for science and business.

The ‘Gender Data Gap in Medicine and Research’ summer school, taking place from 28 September to 2 October 2026 at the Research Campus STIMULATE in Magdeburg, equips researchers with methodological skills for gender-sensitive vascular research, focusing on data gaps, AI-supported bias analysis and personalised therapeutic approaches.
